Each lens has a minimum focusing distance. If you place an extension tube, or so called extension ring, between the lens and the camera body, the minimum focusing distance will be shorter. The greater the focal length of the extension ring, the closer you can get. This is perfect for macro photography or for taking special close ups.
The Caruba Extension Tube set for Canon EOS M consists of three extension rings that can be used separately from each other, but can also be combined. The extension rings have no optical elements and therefore it is possible to bring subjects larger and closer to view, without affecting the quality of the image. The extension rings have a chrome mount and are compatible with Canon EF M lenses. Options such as automatic focus and TTL light metering will continue to work. However, it is advisable to focus manually, because the sharpness is very precise. ,
