Transfer Speed and Chip
The DT580 is powered by the Intel JHL9480 chip and delivers transfer speeds up to 80 Gbps via Thunderbolt 5, enabling a 6 GB file to be transferred in one second. The enclosure supports Single Protocol NVMe and is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and USB4.
Cooling and Housing
The multi layer cooling system keeps the enclosure cool inside and out, reduces power consumption, and prevents speed loss from overheating. The housing is made from aluminium alloy and weighs just 92 g, measuring 11 Ã 4 Ã 2.3 cm.
Installation and Compatibility
The SSD is installed by opening the enclosure with a screwdriver, inserting the SSD into the slot, applying the thermal silicone pad, and closing the enclosure. The DT580 supports M.2 2280 SSDs with M Key or B&M Key and is compatible with Windows and macOS. Maximum theoretical capacity: 8 TB.,
