JJC RN GR Filter for Ricoh GR IV / GR IIIx / GR IIIThe JJC RN GR Filter for Ricoh GR IV / GR IIIx / GR III is a UV filter for the fixed lens of your Ricoh GR. That camera has no filter thread, so this filter sticks around the lens with an adhesive ring rather than screwing on. It holds back ultraviolet light and catches the dust and finger grease that would otherwise reach the front element of the GR. That front element is built into the camera and cannot be replaced on its own, so a layer in front of it pays off over time.CoatingThe coating sits on both sides of the glass and is built up in layers. The anti reflective layer works across the 400 to 680 nm wavelength range, so across the whole visible spectrum. That leaves fewer mirror images of lamps and sun in your shot when you work against the light.FittingAn adhesive ring runs around the filter. Clean the front of the lens, lay the filter on straight and press it down. The adhesive is chosen so the filter stays put and still comes off later without leaving a sticky edge.StackingThe front of the frame carries a thread. Screw a CPL, an ND filter or a black mist onto it when you want to use one as well.
