PGYTECH Zipod Travel Tripod (Midnight Black)The PGYTECH Zipod Travel Tripod (Midnight Black) carries 10 kg and ships without a tripod head, so you fit your own. A 2 in 1 screw sits on top of the centre column and takes almost any tripod head. The legs are T800 carbon and extend on the ZipLock leg lock, which catches by itself at any height after a single pull.

OperationThe ZipLock leg lock uses reverse leg rotation, which leaves no play in the lock. You pull a section to the height you want and it stays there. A counter clockwise turn lets the leg retract again, so you never clamp or open sections one by one.
MaterialThe tubes are built from eight layers of T800 carbon with a wall thickness of 0.9 mm, wound in one continuous process. That layup has a higher tensile strength than the usual T300 carbon, which you notice in wind or with a long telephoto lens on top. The spider and the clamps are aluminium.
Centre columnThe centre column is removable. Take it out, fit the short column and you drop to just above the ground. The quick release at the bottom lets you invert the column, and the hook underneath takes your camera bag as a counterweight. A double ended S4 and T8 bit sits inside the column, so you carry no tools.
Tripod headThis tripod comes without a head. On top of the column sits a 2 in 1 screw that you flip over, so the ball head, video head or gimbal already in your bag fits without an adapter. If you would rather have the complete package, there is the Zipod Travel Tripod Kit with ball head.
CompatibilityThe spider has a 1/4" 20 socket with Arri style locating pin holes for a magic arm or a monitor bracket. The legs carry attachment points for a shoulder strap, so you can walk hands free. The leg tubes come off, so you can clean them after a day in the sand.,
